The language of spontaneous situations

Sometimes in certain situation, whether it is in the beginning of the session, the middle of the session, or in the end of the session, we like to give spontaneous situation that students do not realize that situation. It, however, is really important to make the class go on having the activity.

Here are some common situations in which spontaneous English can be used:

..... has his/her 12th birthday today.

Let's sing "Happy Birthday"!

Happy New Year!

All the best for the New Year.

Best of luck.

Good luck.

I hope you pass.

Congratulations!

Well done!

God bless you all.

Better luck next time..

What's wrong with ... today?

Do you feel better today?

Are you better now?

What was the matter?

I'll be back in a moment.

Could I get past please?

I'm afraid I can't speak any louder.

Do you mind if I sit down?

Social ritual

Cheerio now.

God bless!

Have a nice weekend.

Thanks for your help

Happy birthday!

Merry Christmas!

Late-Tardiness

You’re late.

The doors will be locked ten minutes into the period.

Tardiness reflects a lack of respect for your teacher.

Two lates equals an absence.

Don’t worry: Better late than never, right?

Don’t tell me, you were born late, too, right?

You’re not late, you’re just early for next week, right?
